Description
Efficient production of metabolites is one of the core challenges in the field of biomanufacturing. Traditional approaches rely on the modification of natural strains or fermentation optimization, but are limited by complex regulatory networks, posing bottlenecks for yield improvement. As a widely distributed signal transduction mechanism in bacteria, the Two-Component System (TCS) can precisely perceive environmental changes and regulate metabolic pathways. This project aims to design artificial signal transduction regulatory systems through synthetic biology approaches to dynamically regulate the synthesis pathways of target metabolites (such as high-value chemicals), thereby overcoming yield limitations in industrial production. The implementation of this project will yield significant scientific, technological, and industrial advancements, with far-reaching impacts on economic, social, and technological development.
