A Multimodal Cooperative Interface for Future Coworking Space - RMGS

Description

a. To begin a new interaction paradigm to support collocated group work by exploring the design space of multimodal cooperative interaction for data transfer between users and across devices; b. To design a set of multimodal commands – named VoCol commands, which are composite voice+touch commands with spatial awareness, to support the data transfer in a co-working space equipped with multiple large displays and mobile tablets; c. To implement an opensource platform, which handles input and output across multiple displays with a multi-modal command recognizer for VoCol commands; d. To test the technical performance of our recognizer of VoCol commands for tracking accuracy and false activation in group work scenarios; and e. To evaluate the effectiveness and usability of VoCol commands with lab-based user studies.
