Dr Y-Dang Troeung was honoured with Teaching Excellence Award (TEA) for 2015 at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in recognition of her teaching: Rediscovering the Familiar through Creative Work.
CityU introduced the Teaching Excellence Awards (TEAs) in 1993, as the first university in Hong Kong to offer such awards. Under the scheme, awards are made to individuals as well as teams to recognise and encourage collaborative work on development of effective teaching and practices. One or more awards are available each year. Awardees will receive a cash prize of HK$15,000 for staff development and related purposes, and a grant of HK$150,000 to undertake a teaching development project of their choice.
