A focus edition in Journal of Optics mirroring the Journal of Physics Series' 50th anniversary celebratory initiative. Emerging Leaders special issues are aimed at recognizing the next generation of leaders within a research community.
The collection appended below showcases works produced by a limited number of the most highly distinguished scientists in the early years of their research careers. All articles submitted to this edition have been submitted in response to an invitation. Submissions should contain novel research - although a handful of review articles emphasizing new results & improvements, and putting each review articles into context with other groups work too have been considered.
