Description

Prof K S Chiang (Chair Professor) and his PhD student, Mr Chang Zeshan, won the Best Paper Award at the 13th Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO Pacific Rim 2018). The winning paper is titled “All-optical control of propagation loss with a graphene-embedded polymer waveguide”.

The Conference is organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and co-sponsored by the Optical Society, IEEE Photonics Society Hong Kong Chapter and the IEEE Hong Kong Section. The Optical Society is the Technical Co-sponsor of the Conference and accepted papers for the Conference shall be eligible for inclusion in the OSA Digest. There were around 600 contributed papers and Prof Chiang’s team is one of the five award recipients.
