Biography

Professor Fan joined City University of Hong Kong in 2023. Until then he had been on the faculty of the University of Hong Kong since 2019. His research has focused on behavioral economics of accounting and tax decisions, the role of accounting in corporate debt, and corporate governance. His research has been published in several top accounting journals and has won a best paper award from MIT Asia Conference in Accounting. Professor Fan is an inactive CPA in China.
