Supply Chain Finance (SCF, 供应链金融) is a ermerging business discipline which bridges the gap between supply chain working capital and liqulidity shortage and trade and logistics financial services. Working capital management issues in supply chains have received increasing attention in recent years as the traditional trade finance tends to be outdated in this volatile and evolving economy while tens of thousands of SMEs are struggling to finance and operate their businesses and manage their supply chains (e.g., strategic sourcing & procurement management, logistics and distribution management, etc.). Innovation in business models and information technologies like blockchains and smart contracts is reshaping the ecosystem of supply chains and driving the innovation of the operational and risk management strategies, providing us exiting topics which are extremely demanded in all industries (e.g., energy, manufacturing, health care, retailing, e-commerce, ...). To tackle the new challenge, we will develop new theories and analytical techniques for some interesting new problems arising on this emerging discipline, sitting on the solid foundation of economics (e.g., game theory, contract theory, etc.), operational research (e.g., dynamic optimization, stochastic inventory theory and supply chain management), financial risk management (e.g., commodity finance, financial engineering, asset pricing theory, etc.) and statistical learning (e.g., Bayesian theory, machine learning, etc.) and working closely with largest industrial partners to gain first-hand experience and to explore actional insights.
