Biography
Zulqarnain Baqar is a veterinarian from Pakistan. He did his D.V.M from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, Pakistan in 2020. He completed his Masters in Veterinary Science and Technology (M.V.Sc.) with Honors from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2023. He worked on AMR in bacteria with a One-health approach. His major research was focused on Antimicrobial Resistance in Food Animals. This AMR issue motivated him to pursue his doctoral studies focusing on Epidemiology of Infectious and zoonotic Diseases including AMR. He joined CityU as Ph.D research fellow to work on AMR with special emphasis on AMR in One Health. Baqar has also published some peer review articles.Currently, he is working on AMR and very open to collaborative research work.
