Biography
Professor Zhang Yuying is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Science at City University of Hong Kong. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Medicine, Tsinghua University. During her doctoral studies, her work focused on in vitro construction of liver organoids with zonation features and multi-cellular liver organoids derived from human embryonic stem cells, recapitulating liver development processes and disease-related pathological characteristics, which were applied to drug screening and mechanism studies. Currently, her research focuses on developing an organoid modeling platform combined with AI-driven precision drug development.
