Biography
Professor Yang earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics and Economics (dual degree) from Peking University in 2001, followed by an MPhil from HKUST in 2003. He completed his PhD in Solid Mechanics and Materials Science at Princeton University in 2007. His research focuses on the design of advanced alloys, including high-entropy alloys, metallic glasses and solder alloys, and 2D metallic/ceramic nanomaterials, as well as advanced manufacturing techniques, such as nano-welding and heterogeneous bonding.
