Biography

Professor Yang​ earned his ​Bachelor’s degree​ in Mechanics and Economics (dual degree) from ​Peking University​ in 2001, followed by an ​MPhil​ from ​HKUST​ in 2003. He completed his ​PhD​ in Solid Mechanics and Materials Science at ​Princeton University​ in 2007. His research focuses on the ​design of advanced alloys, including ​high-entropy alloys, ​metallic glasses and solder alloys, and ​2D metallic/ceramic nanomaterials, as well as ​advanced manufacturing techniques, such as nano-welding and heterogeneous bonding.
