Biography
Prof. Yongcun Song received his bachelor's degree and master's degree in mathematics from Jilin University (JLU), China, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. He received his MPhil in 2018 from Hong Kong Baptist Univeristy (HKBU). He obtained his PhD in 2021 from The University of Hong Kong (HKU). From 2021 to 2024, he was a Postdoc and Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany. He joined City University of Hong Kong in 2024. His main research interests focus on scientific computing, machine learning, optimal control, and optimization.
