Biography

I am Yijia, a PhD student majoring in social psychology. Before joining CityU, I obtained both my bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology from Beijing Normal University.

Currently, I am particularly interested in studying how situational and individual factors influence the way women perceive cross-sex relationships, especially heterosexual intimate relationships. The situational factors primarily involve gender inequality and related issues, while the individual factors focus on typical characteristics shaped by these unequal situational factors, such as self-objectification and romantic beliefs.

Before starting my PhD, I primarily researched the factors influencing pro-environmental behavior from an intergroup relations perspective.

Research Interests/Areas
