Biography

Prof. Yang Qian is a Global Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Science at City University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Sydney, where his research focused on quantum information, quantum machine learning, quantum-enhanced AI, and AI for quantum science. His work has contributed to the standardization of quantum algorithm evaluation and the development of advanced methods tailored for noisy intermediate-scale quantum devices. Prof. Qian has published in leading journals and conferences, including Physical Review Letters, NeurIPS, and IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems. He is actively engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations at the intersection of quantum computing and artificial intelligence, working closely with international research teams. His current research aims to bridge theory and application in quantum computing, unlocking its potential to solve complex, real-world challenges across a range of domains.
