Position(s) Available

Welcome to join us!

Our research is highly interdisciplinary, which provides unique training and educational opportunities for undergraduate, graduate students and post docs. Our research projects will provide students and postdocs with a wide range of fundamental knowledge and practical skills that will benefit their future development in both academia and industry.  The educational strength of our research lies in its multi-disciplinary nature that emphasizes close interactions amongst materials chemistry, applied physics and various aspects of biology and mechanical engineering.

Post-doctoral Scholar

Occasionally we have openings for postdoctoral fellows. Interested candidates please send your resume to Y.Y. Li by email (yangli@ cityu.edu.hk). Previous experience in electrochemistry is strongly desired.

Research Assistant/Associate

Often we have openings for research assistants/associates (RAs). BS or MS degree holders who wish to continure their study in our Ph.D program after completing their RA appointments are particularly encouraged to apply. Interested candidates please send your resume to Y.Y. Li by email ([email protected]).

Graduate Student

Candidates with a B.S. or an M.S. in chemistry, physics, bioengineering, materials science or related fields are encouraged to apply. A strong publication record will be a definite asset.

A detailed resume is requested. In particular, according to the application scheme of the university, please include the following information:

1. Journal papers published or accepted.
2. GPA and transcript.
3. English proficiency test score. The University’s minimum English proficiency requirement for applicants from an institution where the teaching language is not English is:

a.  550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test) or 79 (internet-based test) in TOEFL.

b.  An overall band score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

c.  Band 6 in the Chinese mainland's College English Test.

d.  Equivalent qualifications are also acceptable.

Interested candidates may submit their resume to Y.Y. Li by email ([email protected]).
