Dr. Hugh Xuechen LIU (b. 1993) is now a postdoc at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. After spending one year learning about geophysics after being admitted to the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2012, Hugh found his genuine interest in digital media communication and changed his major. Since then, Hugh earned his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in communication from USTC in 2016 and 2019. In 2022, LIU received his Ph.D. from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. Hugh is currently focusing on video games using emerging technology (e.g., blockchain, AR/VR) and computational creativity.
