Biography

Dr. Yu grew up and received her education in Hong Kong. After she obtained her Ph.D. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she continued as a postdoctoral fellow there. In 2016, she moved to Singapore and worked as a research fellow at the National University of Singapore before joining the Department as an assistant professor in 2019.

Position(s) Available

  • Postdoc positions in theoretical/ computational condensed matter physics are available. The successful candidates will work on topics in quantum critical phenomena in many-body systems. Recent research focuses of our group include quantum phase transitions, dynamical quantum phase transitions, time crystals, and machine learning in condensed matter physics. Potential candidates are also welcomed to suggest other research topics relevant to the above-mentioned theme. The applicant should have a PhD in Physics obtained no more than 5 years. For application, please send a CV with a full publication list to [email protected].
