Dr. UEA-ANUWONG Theethawat

After completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand, Dr. Theethawat embarked on an internship at the School of Veterinary Science, University of Tokyo. Driven by his passion for understanding of One Health and mitigating health risks at the humans, animals, and ecosystem interface, he pursued a dual Master's degree in Bio-Veterinary Science and One Health at Kasetsart University in Thailand and Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse in France, leading to the graduation in 2018. Currently, he is in the fifth year of his Ph.D. program at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health at City University of Hong Kong and a research assistant at Centre for Applied One Health Reaseach and Policy Advice at City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on antimicrobial resistance and zoonotic infectious diseases in peridomestic Rattus species in Hong Kong SAR.
