Biography

Prof. Sai-fu Fung is affiliated with the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences, City University of Hong Kong. Prof. Fung teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to social research methods, digital sociology, political sociology, social problems, and issues in Chinese society. He obtained his PhD from the University of Warwick. His research interests are in the fields of computational social science, health-related quality of life (HRQOL), digital health, gerontology, and sports. Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong, he served at the University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Fung is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He currently serves as an editorial board member for various international top-tier academic journals. In the past five years, he has also served as an ad hoc reviewer for over 80 international peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Fung is available for media interviews. He has been featured on local and international media, including CCTV, TVB, RTHK, Metro Radio, Ming Pao, Sportsoho, Hong Kong Commercial Daily, Al Jazeera, and Time Magazine.
