Biography
Sabir Hussain, a veterinarian by profession, holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, Pakistan. He pursued his MPhil in Epidemiology and Public Health from the same institution. Presently, he is engaged in research on vector-borne and parasitic diseases at the Infectious Diseases and Public Health department at the City University of Hong Kong, with a primary focus on tick-pathogen interactions.
Sabir has recently joined the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in the United States as a Graduate Research Scholar. His academic journey has been marked by numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at various international conferences. Recognized for his outstanding academic performance, he has been the recipient of the Outstanding Academic Performance Award (OAPA) and has received consecutive research tuition scholarships for three years during his tenure at the City University of Hong Kong.
