Biography

Dr. Qingchuan Zhao is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU). His research primarily focuses on the security and privacy of mobile systems, with an emphasis on applying both static and dynamic program analysis on mobile apps to identify various security and privacy vulnerabilities including privacy leakage, privilege escalation, and vulnerable access control. In addition, his research interests also include IoT and BLE security and reverse engineering. He earned his M.S. degree from the University of Florida (UF) and B.E. degree from South China University of Technology (SCUT).
