Biography

Qiyuan He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in City University of Hong Kong. He received his BSc in Applied Chemistry from Wuhan University (China) in 2005, MSc in Polymer Physics and Chemistry in Fudan University (China) in 2008, and PhD degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) in 2013. He then joined the University of California Los Angeles as a Postdoctoral Fellow before returning to Nanyang technological University as a Research Fellow in 2016.

He has published over 70 research papers in highly-esteemed journals such as Nature, Nature Chemistry, Nature Materials, Nature electronics, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, and ACS Nano. He has over 12,000 citations with an H-index of 38. Last year, he has been award the 2018 Highly Cited Researcher in cross-field (Clarivate Analytics).

Research Interests/Areas

Dr. He’s research interest is highly interdisciplinary across materials science, chemistry and electronics.  His current research includes nanoelectronics devices, chemical/bio-sensors, thin-film electronics, two-dimensional semiconductors and on-chip electrochemistry.
