Dr. WONG Pak Wai (黃柏瑋)
Biography
Mr. Wong received a BSc degreen in Envrionmental Science and Management from City University of Hong Kong in 2015. With his knowledge on computer programming, he got the MSc in Computer Science from University of Hertfordshire in 2017 for his work on Reducing Carbon Emission by Providing Recommendation from Analysing User Behaviour with Smart Device.
With both environmental and computer science background, Mr. Wong's main research topic is on modelling the membrane wettting and fouling. He is currently focussing on developing models using MATLAB, ANSYS and ASPEN to simulate membrane distillation process.
Besides, Mr. Wong is enthusiast in Environmental Protection. He went to Malaysia in summer 2018 to promote Environmental Protection with local NGO.
Recently, he received the 1st Student Best Poster Presentation Award by Desalination Editors at the Membrane Desalination 2021 (MEMDES2021) with his research on real-time membrane wetting monitoring. The related research has been published on Environmental Science and Technology
