Biography
Dr Lester K. M. Liu received his PhD in Numerical Analysis from the Imperial College, England. His PhD research under a SERC (Science and Engineering Research Council) studentship was devoted to the extension of the application of different formulations of the Tau Method to the numerical solution of differential equations.
He then joined the Polytechnic of Central London as a research fellow under a research contract on crack propagation problems related to aircraft structures and design. He was Lecturer of the Department of Mathematics at Hong Kong Polytechnic before joining CityU.
