Biography
Mr So is a part-time PhD student who has worked in the environmental NGO sector for over 20 years. He is the chief executive of the Conservancy Association, an environmental NGO with the most extended history in Hong Kong.
Mr So also proactively promotes tree and urban forestry conservation in Hong Kong. He has also developed arboriculture training programmes in Hong Kong and has advised various arboriculture training programmes. He has been the programme director of the Advanced Diploma on Tree Conservation and Management programme of the HKU SPACE since 2013 and received the outstanding teaching award for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Mr So was appointed as the Expert Panel on Tree Management under TMO and Old and Valuable Tree Expert Panel under LCSD. He is also a member of the Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Arboriculture and Horticulture Industry of the Development Bureau and a member of the Country and Marine Parks Board under the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.
