Biography
Dr. Tsang obtained the Associateship in Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1983 and the M.Eng. degree (by research) and Ph.D. degree from the University of Wales College of Cardiff (formerly known as the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology, United Kingdom) in 1987 and 1995 respectively. He has worked in both the Hong Kong Polytechnic and the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong as a Research Assistant for three years. He then joined Corad Technology Ltd. as a Product Executive for one-and-a-half years. In March 1988, he joined the City University of Hong Kong as a Lecturer (now Assistant Professor) in the Department of Electronic Engineering.
Dr. Tsang has served the department as Year-1 tutor for a number of years. He was also appointed as the Departmental Examination Officer since Oct. 1995.
Dr. Tsang worked on millimetre waveguide (3 mm) during his M.Eng. study and power oscillator design during his Ph.D. study. He has published over 50 technical papers. Dr. Tsang is also actively engaging in consultancy projects such as pager design and GSM technology.
