Position(s) Available

Please send an email to Dr. Kim if you are interested in one of the following positions.

Internship

We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate student who wish to have research experiences in the field of analysis and PDEs. A solid background in multivariable calculus and mathematical analysis is expected.

PhD Student

We are looking for a highly motivated student who wish to pursue a PhD degree in the field of harmonic analysis. Candidates are expected to have a strong background in mathematical analysis. Outstanding applicants are encouraged to apply for the Hong Kong PHD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) which provides generous stipend for three years.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Position has been filled)

We invite applications for a postdoc position in harmonic analysis. The position is for one year and can be extended to another year depending on the availability of funding. Starting date is flexible and the position carries no teaching duties. Candidates with research experiences in problems related to Fourier restriction theory are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates with a strong publication record can be nominated for the RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (PDFS) which provides generous financial support for three years.

Research Interests/Areas

Kim's research interests are mainly in harmonic analysis. In particular, he works on geometric problems in harmonic analysis related to the Kakeya problem and the Fourier restriction problem.

His papers are available here on arXiv.
