Prof. KIM Ji Won

Ji Won Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media and Communication at City University of Hong Kong. She holds a doctoral degree in Mass Communications from Syracuse University. Her research lies at the intersection of media psychology and emerging media. She studies the ways in which people process and respond to persuasive messages about health and risk topics in social media and virtual/augmented reality contexts. Her works have been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as New Media & Society, Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Health Communication, Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, Telematics and Informatics, Social Media + Society, and the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction.
