Ge Lan (Gee) is an assistant professor in the Department of English at City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include corpus linguistics, systemic functional linguistics, syntax, English for academic/specific purposes, second language writing, natural language processing, and bibliometrics/scientometrics/informatrics. Ge Lan holds a PhD in second language studies from Purdue University, USA. He is a member of Corpus and Repository of Writing (Crow), an inter-institutional research project among multiple American universities. Ge Lan has recently published in Journal of Second Language Writing, TESOL Quarterly, English for Specific Purposes, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, and System, among others.
