Ge Lan is an assistant professor in the Department of English at City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include corpus linguistics, systemic functional linguistics, syntax, English for academic purposes, second language writing, and natural language processing. Ge Lan holds a PhD in second language studies from Purdue University, USA. He is a member of Corpus and Repository of Writing (Crow), an inter-institutional research project among multiple American universities. Ge Lan has recently published in Journal of Second Language Writing, TESOL Quarterly, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, System, and Corpora. From 2021 to present, he has worked as a review editor for Frontiers in Psychology: Language Sciences.
