Research Interests

  •   Developmental toxicology: investigating impacts of exogenous agents on the developing organism and deciphering potentially critical exposure periods during cell/organ maturation; persistence and onset of impairments due to developmental exposures in adult organisms (particularly: bone development, immune system)
  •   Transgenerational toxicology: exploring how ancestral exposure to exogenous stressors affects the unexposed subsequent generations through modification of the epigenetic inheritance pattern; what are the consequences for the Darwinian fitness traits of the individual and the population.
  •   Immunotoxicology: analyzing the integrity of the immune defense and the underlying impacted pathways of the innate and adaptive arm of the immune system in response to stressor exposure
