Biography

Ebenezer Cudjoe, Eben is a PhD candidate with the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences at City University of Hong Kong. He obtained a bachelor’s degree (honours) in Social Work from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana in 2016. Following his undergraduate degree, he pursued a joint Nordic Master programme in Social Work and Welfare from the University of Stavanger in Norway, Umea University in Sweden and Aalborg University in Denmark, graduating in 2019. Eben's research have focused on promoting positive outcomes for children in families facing difficulties. His areas of interests are in child protection, kinship care, out of home care, foster care and children whose parents have mental illness. His PhD is centred on what life looks like for children whose parents have mental illness. He is passionate about qualitative methodologies and finding out ways for at-risk populations to have their voices included in support and interventions that impact their wellbeing.
