Douglas B. Fuller is an associate professor in the Department of Asian and International Studies at City University of Hong Kong and serves as the department’s Internationalisation Coordinator and Health and Safety Officer. He is the author of Paper Tigers, Hidden Dragons: Firms and the Political Economy of China’s Technological Development (OUP 2016, 2019) and two edited volumes, Technology Transfer between the US, China and Taiwan: Moving Knowledge (Routledge 2013) and Innovation Policy and the Limits of Laissez-faire: Hong Kong’s Policy in Comparative Perspective (Palgrave Macmillan 2010). He has published widely in his areas of research interest including technology policy (e.g., Technology Forecasting and Social Change), development studies (e.g., Journal of Development Studies), and the intersection of politics and international business (e.g., Global Strategy Journal) in addition to his interest in comparative political economy and East Asian politics as represented by his book and two edited volumes.
