I am a public health professional with advanced expertise in Environmental Health, holding a Master’s degree graduated with Great Distinction from Jimma University and a Bachelor’s degree graduated with Distinction from the University of Gondar. 

Qualifications/Experiences

As a lecturer and public health expert with over seven years of experience, I have led academic programs, directed field surveillance initiatives during health emergencies, and built a prolific research portfolio with over 50 peer-reviewed publications focused on antimicrobial resistance, climate change, and One Health, and I have presented my research output in more than 30 national and international research conference. Building on a proven track record of leading large-scale, funded research projects on antimicrobial resistance and microbial contamination, my career goal is to leverage this expertise to advance sustainable One Health solutions that integrate research, policy, and community action to mitigate public health threats.

Research Interests/Areas

my research interest focuses to create a multi-layered defense system that mitigates the public health risk of AMR bacteria by addressing its complex drivers across the human-animal-environment interface.

Teaching

As a Lecturer at Debre Tabor University since 2017, I have developed a comprehensive teaching portfolio that includes delivering high-level courses in Environmental Health and the Determinants of Health and Disease, mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students in specialized research areas such as microbial contamination and the One Health framework, and contributing to academic governance through my role on the Public Health Department's Exam Review Committee.
