Biography

Mr. Chufa Chen received his Master degree and Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Shenzhen University, P.R. China. Before commencing his doctoral studies at City University of Hong Kong, he served as a Research Assistant at Shenzhen University from July 2023 to January 2024, followed by a research position at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from February to August 2024.

Mr. Chufa Chen’s research mainly focuses on advanced construction materials, specifically Geopolymer and Alkali-activated Concrete, Functional Cementitious Composite, Eco-friendly Materials, and Carbon Capture and Utilization.
