Biography
Mr. Chufa Chen received his Master degree and Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Shenzhen University, P.R. China. Prior to enrolling in CityU for his PhD, he worked as a Research Assistant at Shenzhen University from Jul 2023 to Jan 2024 and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from Feb 2024 to Aug 2024.
Mr. Chufa Chen’s research mainly focus on Construction Materials, specifically Geopolymer and Alkali-activated Concrete, Functional Cementitious Composite, Eco-friendly Materials, and Carbon Capture and Utilization.
