Prof. KO Chi Chiu Vincent (高志釗)
PhD (HK)
- Professor, Department of Materials Science and Engineering
- Professor, Department of Chemistry
Biography
Prof. Vincent Ko received his B. Sc. (1999) and Ph. D. (2003) from the University of Hong Kong. His doctoral research focused primarily on the metal-containing photochromic compounds and luminescent organometallic compounds. After completing his Ph.D., he continued his research as a Postdoctoral Fellow under the guidance of Prof. Vivian Yam. In 2006, he joined City University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor and has since been promoted to Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2023. His current research interests include the design and synthesis of stimuli-responsive and photofunctional materials, such as luminescent materials, sensors, photoswitching and photochromic materials, mechanoresponsive materials, photocatalysts, smart materials and devices.
