Prof. YANG Bin (楊斌)

Professor Yang has published two English monographs and five Chinese monographs, including Between Winds and Clouds: the Making of Yunnan (Columbia University Press, 2008) and Cowrie Shells and Cowrie Money: A Global History (Routledge, 2018). His third English monograph Disocvoered but Forgotten: The Maldives in Chinese History, c. 1100-1620 is going to be published in fall, 2024 (Columbia University Press).  His research articles have been published in some prestigious international journals such as Modern Asian Studies, The China Quarterly, Journal of World History, Journal of Women's History, Bulletin of the History of Medicine, and so on.
