Biography

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Hoi-Lun Kwong obtained his BSc degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1987. Under the supervision of  Chi-Ming Che, he obtained his MPhil degree from the same university in 1989. In the summer of 89, he moved to the US where he obtained his PhD under the supervision of K. Barry Sharpless in 1993. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Eric N. Jacobsen's group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Harvard University. He has been teaching at the City University of Hong Kong since 1994.
