Biography
Dr. Lun’s research interests are in sociolinguistics, computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and terminology. Besides being the Major Leader of BA in Linguistics and Language Technology and deeply involved in the design and promotion of Jyutping, the Cantonese Romanization scheme of the Linguistic Society of Hong Kong, Dr. Lun also spares time as managing director of LangComp Co. Ltd., an ex-affiliated company of CityU Enterprise he founded in July 1997. The company aims to produce language-related educational software and provide translation and natural language processing services. Dr. Lun is also concerned with language policy in HK and terminology for the Chinese language. In 1999, he founded the Terminology Association of Hong Kong.
