Description of impact

The film was the first to expose with great details the Anti-Hu Feng Counter Revolutionary Clique Campaign initiated by Chairman Mao Zedong in 1955, known as the largest literary persecution after 1949. The film received positive reviews in five languages, and was collected by over 70 university libraries, as well as archives and research institutions.
