Lai to the "Van Gogh Alive Hong Kong" (6 April - 7 July 2019), a multi-projection show that turns the visit of Van Gogh's paintings into a multi-sensory experience with digital animated images. Lai explains the history of projection in Exapnded Cinema from the last century, and analysis how an intelligent use of digital media could have brought us a lot more than juat an immersive experience. She suggests that the show reinformced cliches and myths of Van Gogh, and failed to achieve new knowledge about Van Gogh even though it is presened to the public as new media.
