This is part of the Hu Shih Lecture Series launched by the Run Run Shaw Library of City University of Hong Kong. In this 90-mins talk, Dr. Lin examines the English-language telegrams sent by Chiang Kai-shek to Franklin D. Roosevelt during WW2. Dr. Lin points out the possibility that Hu Shih, who served as the Chinese ambassador to the US, has played a role in translating and rewriting Chiang Kai-shek's telegrams to Roosevelt in the wartime period.
