To Become Rooted: Anti-Extractive Research Approaches within Emancipatory Farming Communities

Activity: Talk/lecture or presentationTalk/lecture

Description

The lecture shares research approaches and encounters that have brought Michael towards writing a thesis novel for his PhD doctorate outcome. The concept of the simultaneous movement, relating to global land resistances and unconventional academic outputs, will be illustrated alongside anti-extractive research approaches, multispecies thinking, and nuances within local struggles that are often unreported. Aspects of participatory action research and radical publishing (from others too) will be shown, in what intends to be an accessible and convivial lecture–with storytelling, dialogue and critical reflection.
