The CSHK AI ethics and governance team met with representatives from the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) on Tuesday (April 9) to discuss the development of AI governance in Hong Kong.

The CSHK AI ethics and governance team met with representatives from the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) on Tuesday (April 9) to discuss the development of AI governance in Hong Kong.
During the meeting, the parties shared ideas and insights on the future of governance for AI technologies in Hong Kong. The meeting agreed to the importance of having more collaboration between the university community and the government. Both parties also exchanges views on the need to enhance collaboration between all the actors involved in order to enhance the development of the AI ecosystem by building up a social environment and a governance framework that is conducive to compliance and the flourishing of new technologies.
