Description
Global Perspectives on Music and Sound in Visual Media The series critically examines the ways that music and sound are used, evoked, or otherwise deployed in film, television, animation, advertisements, video games, video art, and other visual media. The volumes in the series feature a variety of disciplinary and methodological approaches applied across historical periods and global contexts. While open to contributions from scholars working in any discipline and region, the series aims to highlight thoughtful perspectives conventionally absent from scholarly publishing. In featuring such works, the series will foreground innovative ideas that refine and enliven discourse around the use and meaning of music and sound in visual media.
