The social problems related to poverty, migration, labor markets, the environment and sustainability, health, education, technological innovation systems, SMEs and labor markets are closely related to the problems of development in both regional and local contexts, which is why they are priorities in any academic discussion table. However, despite the efforts that have been made by the government, academia, civil society and the implementation of programs aimed at combating them, they are distinguished by their persistence, which has given them a chronic character that it is part of our reality. Researchers need to review the theoretical and methodological research of these topics based on complexity and transdisciplinarity.
