We have begun to apply Generative AI (GenAI) in all aspects of our lives, especially in idea creation and expression. How do our interactions with GenAI and perception of their use change with changing group dynamics in diverse multi-human tasks? In this talk we outlined research examining the tasks of collaborative image generation for stage design and posting arguments to online forums. The tasks illustrate the diversity of use-cases for GenAI and how we differentially perceive GenAI during tasks that leverage diverse qualities of GenAI assistance. This work contributes understanding of how we adapt to technological tools for broadening human capabilities in workflows previously reserved for humans.
