Description

This is a mini-course on introduction of mathematical image processing. It consists of four sessions, each of which covers one topic on a rather high level. Throughout this course, we will talk about mathematical models for images, and classical models and algorithms for image denoising, image segmentation, and image vectorization. With such a compact timetable, our aim is to guide the audience to appreciate the beautiful interplays between math and image processing. We will focus on intuitive ideas behind selective models without technical details. There is no prerequisite, and everyone is welcome.
