In January 2023, I was appointed as a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), a prestigious international scientific non-profit organization. This appointment recognizes my outstanding scholarship and contributions to the field of corporate governance. ECGI comprises renowned scholars from both law schools and business schools across 28 countries, with a highly selective appointment process based on research excellence. Since its founding in 2002, ECGI has appointed approximately 380 professors worldwide as Research Members. Notably, I am the first legal scholar from Hong Kong to receive this honor. The Institute's esteemed fellows include Nobel Laureates Jean Tirole, Oliver Hart, Bengt Holmstrom, and Douglas Diamond, further highlighting the exceptional caliber of its members.
