Education and Animal Conservation in Hong Kong conference (EACHK) 2022. Online conference held on the 30th March from 13:00 – 17:30 HKT. The meeting aimed at anyone in the conservation education field at any career stage, as well as those involved with wildlife, both local to Hong Kong and further afield. The conference comprised of two main themes, focused on the importance of education in the conservation field, and how wildlife and human populations interact. The conference reflected on the current state of education around wildlife, the various dimensions surrounding public knowledge about animals, and how organizations and individuals can work to spread the word about these issues and increase public engagement. We will investigate how animals in urban environments interact with human populations, as well as exploring some current conservation efforts in Hong Kong.
